Volunteer Clearance Requirements

All of our volunteers must complete and pass the PA Child Abuse History Clearance and a Criminal History Record Check. If you are not a resident of PA or have not been a resident for the past 10 years, an FBI fingerprinting is required.

Camp Roles

Mentors

Individuals age 21 and older who are responsible for 1 to 2 assigned campers for the camp week. They spend time with their campers, building a mentoring relationship with them. They teach their campers about biblical principles and life skills throughout the day. They are under the leadership of the Camp Directors.

Guides

Individuals age 16 and older who act in a supportive role to the camp mentors. In addition, their role is to have fun with campers and build relationships with them, being a friend and a Christian role model. They are under the leadership of the Camp Directors.

Support Squad

Individuals age 15 and older who assist in the day to day set up of crafts, games, and activities. They are the ones who help camp run smoothly while doing the ‘behind the scenes’ duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Nurse

A registered nurse is required for each camp. The nurse is responsible for the health of the campers and completion of required documentation.

Photographer

A vital part of the camp experience for our campers as well as a necessary tool for promoting camp online and during speaking engagements. Photographers are expected to attend all camp activities to get the best possible pictures of both the staff and campers.

Kitchen

Duties include all necessary preparations for meals and snacks. They are under the direction of the Head Chef.
